Therapist delivered Interventions: Occupational therapists provide personalized, one-on-one or group sessions, tailored to each child's unique needs. These sessions focus on specific skills and areas of development, such as:
Handwriting: Techniques to improve letter formation, spacing, and writing endurance.
Fine Motor Skills: Activities to enhance dexterity and coordination, including tasks like using scissors, managing buttons and zips, and handling cutlery.
Gross Motor Skills: Exercises to develop strength, balance, and coordination, such as navigating playground equipment or participating in sports.
Sensory Behavioural Support: Strategies to help children manage sensory processing issues, including sensory diets and calming techniques.
Our Occupational Therapy Interventions are typically structured in 6-week blocks, with each session being 1 hour per week. This format allows for consistent and focused support, enabling measurable progress over a set period. Goals and activities are often set for children to engage with between the sessions.
Tailored Interventions
Assessment: Before starting any intervention, a thorough assessment is conducted to identify the child's specific needs and areas for improvement.
Customized Plans: Based on the assessment, individualized intervention plans are created, tailored to each child's unique requirements.
Flexible Scheduling: While the standard intervention block is 6 weeks, the frequency and duration can be adjusted according to the child's progress and needs.
Through these structured and flexible interventions, our goal is to help each child achieve their full potential and succeed in their academic and daily activities.
